Roses are one of the most popular ornamental crops; they can be found in almost every garden. Recently, many new varieties of this crop have been developed, distinguished by their original coloring of flowers. Rose Red Intuition is one of the relatively new varieties, the distinctive feature of which is the unusual color of the petals.
History of selection
The variety was bred in France in 1999. From the collection of famous Delbar breeders. It belongs to the hybrid tea varieties; the flower is grown for cutting.

The hybrid tea rose "Red Intuition" grows to 0.9-1.2 m in height, the bush is dense, up to 0.7 m wide, its shoots are smooth, almost without thorns. The leaves are semi-glossy and green.
The flowers are goblet-shaped, the color ranges from burgundy-garnet to crimson, but not monochromatic; red stripes with fuzzy edges, specks, and lines run along the surface of the petals. The unusual color gives the rose originality. The flowers are double, consist of 45 petals, medium and large in size with a diameter of 9-12 cm, with a velvety surface.There is usually 1 bud per stem, but sometimes, although rarely, there are more. There is a subtle pleasant aroma. The variety blooms from June to July, almost continuously.

The French variety “Red Intuition”, in addition to the unusual color of the flowers, for which many gardeners like it, has other advantages:

- resists fungal infections well and is easy to treat;

The variety also has disadvantages. This is the instability of opened flowers to dampness and rain, during which they become sloppy, and some thickening of the shoots, which is why the bushes need intensive pruning.
Reproduction methods
The “Red Intuition” variety, like all hybrid tea roses, can be propagated by cuttings, dividing the bush, or grafting. It is best to take cuttings from roses in early spring or mid-autumn, when the air temperature and soil moisture are most favorable. In summer, cuttings may not take root. They should be approximately 1 cm thick and at least 15 cm long. The lower leaves are removed by 2/3 of the length, and the halves of the upper leaves are cut off to reduce evaporation.
The cuttings are placed in a jar filled with water with the addition of a root formation stimulator. When white roots appear on them, they are planted in light, fertile soil for further rooting.Or the cuttings are planted directly on a separate bed in a substrate consisting of peat and sand. They are buried 2/3 of the way into the soil, watered, the ground is covered with film or a glass jar is placed above each to create a greenhouse effect. At first, rose cuttings are watered with water, to which you can add a little root formation stimulator. There is no need to feed anything. It is important to ensure that the soil always remains moist and does not dry out. Cuttings should take root in approximately 1-1.5 months. After this, you can transplant them to a permanent place or do this after six months, in spring or autumn.
By dividing the bush, roses of this variety are also propagated on the eve of summer and winter - before the buds open or after all the foliage has fallen from them. They dig up a bush, divide it into several parts so that each has roots and young shoots, and immediately transplant it to a new place. Water until rooting.

Growing and care
Red Intuition roses are placed in an open area where there are no drafts or wind. It is advisable that at noon the bushes are not in direct sunlight, but at least in slight partial shade.
