Grapes Podarok Nesvetaya is a hybrid form obtained as a result of private selection. High commercial qualities and early ripening period have brought it to a leading position among the most popular varieties.

History of origin

The author of the fruit grape Podarok Nesvetaya was a private breeder Evgeniy Georgievich Pavlovsky. Obtained as a result of hybridization of the Krasotka and Talisman varieties. The hybrid form combines the best qualities of the parents. The variety became the earliest ripening, named after a small village in the Rostov region - Nesvetaya.

Description of the Podarok Nesvetaya grape variety

The seedlings of the variety take root well. Under favorable conditions and correctly applied agricultural technology, the first berries can be tasted in the second year after planting.

Bunches

The brushes of the hybrid Podarok Nesvetaya are large, conical-cylindrical in shape. The fit of the berries is average, peas are practically absent.

The weight of an average cluster is 500 g, some bunches reach 1-1.2 kg

Berries

The fruits are oval in shape. The average berry weight is from 8 to 12 g. The skin of ripe grapes is dark burgundy. When eating grapes it is practically not noticeable. The berries have a dense waxy coating.

Vine

The bushes are tall with strong shoots and a powerful trunk. The leaves are large, five-lobed. The leaf blades are serrated along the edges and are painted in bright green tones with lighter veins.

Characteristics of Podarok Nesvetaya grapes

The hybrid form Podar Nesvetaya has a bisexual flower. This means that it does not need additional pollinators.

Grape ripening period Podarok Nesvetaya

The variety is early ripening. From the beginning of the growing season to the harvesting of the first harvest, 95-105 days pass. Podarok Nesvetaya grapes enter the technical ripeness phase in early August.

Productivity

Hybrid Gift Nesvetaya is a high-yielding hybrid. Therefore, the variety is grown for sale.

Taste qualities

The pulp of the berries is juicy, crispy, sweet with barely noticeable sourness. The fruits exude a nutmeg aroma with fruity notes.

Growing regions

The variety is suitable for cultivation in all regions of Russia and neighboring countries.

Frost resistance

The variety is of medium frost resistance, can withstand down to -24ᵒC. In the southern regions, grapes can winter without shelter. In other climatic zones, this should be taken care of in advance.

Drought resistance

Variety Gift Nesvetaya does not tolerate drought well

The culture is quite demanding when it comes to watering. With a lack of moisture, it is impossible to achieve high yields.

Resistance to diseases and pests

The gift took over from its parents immunity and resistance to a number of diseases to which representatives of this genus are susceptible. But you shouldn't rely on immunity. It is recommended to regularly carry out preventive treatment to protect the vine and berries from damage by bacterial canker, rubella, chlorosis, bacteriosis and anthracnose.

Activities that will help protect grapes from diseases and pests:

  1. In spring and autumn, preventive treatment of shrubs is carried out. This increases the resilience of the culture.
  2. In winter, grapes suffer from rodents. It is recommended to cover the bushes with spruce branches.
  3. Birds eat ripe berries, wasps suck out the sweet juice. To preserve the harvest, each bunch is hidden in special mesh bags. Additionally, insect traps are placed. It is not recommended to treat the crop with chemicals on the eve of harvesting from the vine.

You should not neglect the autumn digging of the tree trunk circle. In the summer months, they regularly loosen and weed the soil around the bush and remove weeds.

During the ripening of the fruits, fallen clusters and leaves are certainly carried outside the vineyard. They serve as food for insects and a breeding ground for pathogenic flora.

Application

The table hybrid Podarok Nesvetaya is suitable for fresh consumption, making wine, compotes, and jams. The variety is not suitable for long-term storage.

Advantages and disadvantages

Grapes of this variety are unpretentious in care and do not require special attention. The Podarok Nesvetaya grape is a universal variety.

Pros:

  • early ripening;
  • fruits are consumed fresh and canned;
  • high productivity;
  • good frost resistance;
  • resistance to diseases and pests.

Minuses:

  • high requirements for soil composition;
  • needs timely watering;
  • berries are not suitable for long-term storage;
  • the sensitivity of fruits to excess mineral fertilizers is noted.

Landing Features

Choose a place for planting grapes that is sunny and windless. It is advisable that the bush be located on the south side of the house or fence. Gift Nesvetaya prefers well-drained, fertile soil.

The autumn and spring seasons are equally suitable for transferring young seedlings to a permanent place. In spring, annual seedlings are planted from the last ten days of April to mid-May. Vegetating grapes can be planted from May 15 until the end of the first summer month.

Autumn planting of seedlings is carried out from the end of October until frost. In this case, you should promptly provide the bush with shelter for the winter.

Landing rules:

  1. The hole is dug two weeks before planting. Its standard size is 80x80 cm.
  2. A nutrient layer is placed on the bottom and compacted.
  3. The next layer is mineral fertilizers and wood ash, taken in equal proportions. They are mixed with soil and poured into the hole in a layer of 10 cm.
  4. Then pour a 5-centimeter layer of soil.
  5. A seedling is placed in the middle of the recess. The roots are evenly distributed throughout the hole, after which the grapes are covered with fertile soil to the growth level. The soil is compacted.

2-3 buckets of water are poured under the bush. To prevent moisture loss, the tree trunk circle is mulched.

Rules of care

Subsequent care comes down to timely watering, weeding, loosening the soil to saturate the roots with oxygen, and applying fertilizers.Despite good immunity, without preventive spraying Podarok Nesvetaya may suffer from illnesses. Spring and autumn treatment of shrubs with Bordeaux mixture will minimize the damage to grapes by fungal infections.

Watering, loosening

In the spring, Podarok Nesvetaya does not need frequent watering. Excess moisture is detrimental to bushes. During the summer months, watering is carried out every two weeks. Make sure that the soil does not dry out.

To retain moisture, after each watering the soil of the root circle is fluffed up, while trying not to damage the root. In parallel with loosening, weeds are removed.

Fertilizer application

In the spring, nitrogen fertilizing is applied to form the crown. During flowering and ovary formation, grapes need mineral fertilizers. All components must be water-soluble, otherwise the grapes will not accept them.

Trimming

To form large berries, grapes are pruned annually.

Annual and perennial vines are subject to removal. Depending on the age of the plant, cut back from 60 to 80% of its annual growth. This helps reduce the load on the bush so that the branches do not break under the weight of the ripening bunches.

Shelter for the winter

Important! In the first three years of a grape's life, it must be protected from freezing.

In central Russia, the hybrid needs shelter for the winter. Having removed the vine from the arch, it is wrapped in agrofibre or burlap (it is not recommended to use film), bent to the ground and covered with spruce or pine spruce branches. In the spring, with the arrival of stable warmth, the shelter is removed.

Conclusion

Podarok Nesvetaya grapes are recommended for cultivation in private farms.The variety is of average frost resistance, the fruits have a pleasant taste and good immunity to diseases, but are poorly stored and quickly lose their commercial quality.

Reviews of Podarok Nesvetaya grapes

Valentina Grigorieva, 54 years old, Bryansk
The seedlings came to me by accident. Despite their unpresentable appearance, they took root quickly. Two years later the first bunches were harvested. The taste is good, with a slight nutmeg aftertaste. The downside is that the berries do not last long, they crack and rot.
Vasily Termyanov, 45 years old, Odessa
In our region, this hybrid overwinters without shelter. I carry out autumn and spring treatment regularly. Over several years of cultivation, the bushes never got sick. The berries are sweet, crispy, juicy. The disadvantage is that you have to put each bunch in a protective bag; wasps really like grapes.
