How to make sunberry wine

To make homemade wine, you can use not only grapes, but also any other berries. By consuming this drink in moderation, you can replenish your body with the necessary microelements, vitamins and other nutrients. The average daily amount for an adult should be 50-70 ml.

Home winemaking has been gaining momentum lately. And this is not surprising. Wine made at home, with your own hands, carries the rich taste of natural berries and will give you a great mood.

If special wine yeast is not used in making wine, then it is better not to wash the berries so as not to lose the natural microflora nesting on the skin of the fruit. You can also add a handful of raisins. This will ensure the fermentation process and give the drink a noble note in taste.

If all the measures taken do not give the desired effect, you can add a little bread yeast. Otherwise, the drink may turn sour. Brewer's yeast is not recommended to be used here; it will not withstand high concentrations of alcohol and will quickly stop fermenting.

To make wine from sunberry, you will need a 10-15 liter bottle, which should be filled to 2/3 of the volume. The neck should be closed with a stopper so that it allows air to pass through. During the fermentation of wines, carbon dioxide is actively released, creating high pressure. Therefore, the gas must be removed, but so carefully that oxygen does not get into the bottle of Sunberry wine, which activates the activity of bacteria that convert alcohol into acetic acid.

Can be used:

  • cotton wool;
  • rubber glove (prick holes with a needle);
  • water seal.

Leave the bottle of Sunberry wine in a place where it will not be exposed to direct sunlight, but not completely dark.

Recipe with apples

To make wine, crush sunberries in a mortar. It is better to take fragrant, sweet and sour varieties of apples. Ranetki are good because they have a slightly sour and tart taste. They can also be ground in a blender or meat grinder. Mix both components in equal proportions.
