Cherry tomato Lyuba F1 from Partner

Most recently, the Partner company pleased lovers of exotic tomatoes by introducing a new variety to gardeners - the Lyuba F1 cherry tomato. The new product has not yet been entered into the State Register of the Russian Federation, but this in no way diminishes the merits of the variety.

Description of the variety

Cherry tomato Lyuba F1 is an early ripening hybrid. The period from germination to consumption of the first fruits is 93 - 95 days. The variety is indeterminate, LSL-type, and therefore needs garter. The bush is formed into 1 - 2 stems. The leaves of the plant are medium in size, rich green in color. The first cluster is laid after the 9th leaf and forms up to 20 small and very pleasant-tasting fruits. Subsequently, brushes are formed through 2 sheets.

Description of fruits

The cherry tomato variety Lyuba has fruits of a rich scarlet color. The cluster contains from 15 to 20 round, two-chambered berries with thin but dense skin, weighing 20 - 25 g. The variety tolerates transportation well, and the fruits are picked and placed in containers in whole clusters. Tomatoes have a pleasant sweetish taste with notes of sourness. Tomatoes are great for both fresh use and for preparing canned food, sauces and juice.But most often these beautiful berries are used in salads and to decorate vegetable dishes.

Characteristics of cherry tomato Lyuba

  1. Early ripeness. The first fruits can be obtained within 3 months after germination.
  2. When grown in greenhouses, the bushes are able to reach a two-meter mark and produce more than 10 kg of excellent fruit. And if all the rules of agricultural technology are followed, the yield can reach 13 kg per square meter. m.
  3. The cluster contains 15 - 20 berries and weighs 350 - 450 g.
  4. The fruits are of regular shape, have the same size, rich color without green, which makes the hybrid competitive in the vegetable market.
  5. Good transportability and high taste.
  6. The tomato ripens well, which makes it possible to harvest with tassels.
  7. Possibility to form a tomato into one or two stems.
  8. Extended harvest period. This makes it possible to consume fresh fruits until late autumn.
  9. Resistance to many diseases. Allows you to save on the frequency of treatments with protective equipment and obtain high-quality products at lower costs.

The main disadvantages of cherry tomato Lyuba from “Partner” are:

  • growing plants exclusively indoors;
  • the need for mandatory gartering of stems;
  • demands on light;
  • weekly formation of a bush (removal of stepsons);
  • deterioration of quality at high planting densities.

Judging by the photos, reviews and yield, the Lyuba tomato is deservedly winning its place in greenhouses and greenhouses of gardeners.

Growing rules

To obtain high-quality seedlings, you need to take care of the soil in which they will grow. If you prepare the soil yourself, then the ratio of turf soil, peat, compost and sand should be in the ratio 2:2:2:1. After this, the soil is disinfected by any of the available methods.

When preparing to grow seedlings in plastic containers, they are doused with boiling water before use. If you sow seeds in wooden boxes, then they should be whitened with lime or treated with a blowtorch. These simple steps will allow you to disinfect the container and avoid possible fungal diseases of future seedlings.

Sowing seeds for seedlings

Seeds of this variety should be sown for seedlings in early to mid-March. Considering that the seed of hybrids has already been treated with special compounds before sale, they are sown dry in prepared moist soil, sprinkled with a thin layer of soil, watered and placed in a warm place with a temperature of 22 - 24 oC.

Important! In order for seedlings to appear faster, the planting boxes are covered with film or glass.

After germination, the container with seedlings is placed in a sunny place, and the temperature is lowered to 16 °C for several days. When all the sprouts appear, the temperature is raised to 20 - 22 °C.

When 1 - 2 true leaves appear, it is necessary to pick them into peat cubes or cups. Further care for young seedlings consists of watering, fertilizing and spraying with nutrient solutions.

Transplanting seedlings

Seedlings of the Lyuba variety are planted in protected soil in the first ten days of May.If the greenhouse does not even have emergency heating, the planting dates must be moved to the end of the month.

Important! Before planting seedlings in the greenhouse, all preventive measures are carried out: disinfection of the soil and all structures.

To develop additional roots when planting, seedlings are buried down to the first leaf. The recommended planting density of this variety when grown in 1 stem is 3 - 4 plants per 1 m2, 2 stems - 2 plants per 2 m2.

Next, a twine is tied to a peg near the tomato plant, capable of subsequently supporting the weight of the plant with fruits, and it is secured to a mount or wire under the roof of the greenhouse. In the future, as the tomatoes grow, twine will be wrapped around the plants.

Rules of care

To get a good tomato harvest, you need to create optimal conditions under which the variety will reveal all its potential.

Conditions close to ideal can be created by the following agrotechnical measures:

  • systematic watering;
  • mulching beds;
  • formation of a bush, removal of stepsons;
  • regular collection of ripened fruits;
  • preventive measures to combat diseases and pests.

Conclusion

The Lyuba cherry tomato is a very promising and beautiful variety that is especially popular with children. If you apply effort and diligence, you will get 10 kg from 1 m2 Every gardener can produce fragrant, well-balanced fruits.

I have been planting this variety for the second year now. Seed germination is 100%. In the greenhouse I got a harvest of 10 kg from 1 m2, and this year I want to try to grow a hybrid in open ground. The taste of the fruit is very pleasant, sweet with a sour aftertaste. Due to their size and beautiful long clusters, cherry tomatoes of the Lyuba variety have become my grandchildren’s favorites.

Last year Lyuba planted 10 tomato bushes. Formed a plant into 2 stems. The harvest turned out to be excellent, although the plants were somewhat dense. When growing this way, I advise you to plant no more than 2 plants per 1 m2, since the variety is very light-loving. This year I want to try to grow it for sale on the market. I think tomatoes will attract buyers.
