The taste of pepper is excellent: the flesh is especially juicy, up to 10 mm thick, sweet, and has a bright, fresh aroma. The skin of the fruit is thin and tender. Peppers can be used to prepare fresh vegetable salads, culinary dishes, and winter preparations. The amazing taste characteristic is one of the reasons for the increasing number of positive reviews about the Atlantic F1 pepper variety.

Important! Atlantic F1 pepper juice can be used for medicinal purposes in the treatment of diabetes, hypertension, diseases of the skin, hair, nails and other ailments.

Microelement composition

Bulgarian sweet pepper of the Atlantic F1 variety is not only tasty, but also an extremely healthy vegetable. It contains vitamins B, PP, C.

Important! In terms of vitamin C content, the Atlantic F1 hybrid is superior to blackcurrant and lemon.

The fruits of the Atlantic F1 variety contain a whole complex of minerals: calcium, potassium, magnesium, iodine, zinc, sodium, phosphorus, fluorine, chlorine, cobalt, chromium and others.

The rich microelement and vitamin composition of the vegetable makes it especially useful for humans. Thus, sweet peppers are recommended for use by people suffering from depression, insomnia, diseases of the gastrointestinal system, anemia, weakness and some other ailments.

Features of agricultural technology

Pepper is distinguished by its heat-loving nature. However, the Atlantic F1 variety is perfectly adapted to low temperatures, so it can be grown in open and protected soils in the middle and northwestern regions of Russia. It is recommended to use seedling cultivation method.

Growing seedlings

Seedlings of the Atlantic F1 variety should be planted in the ground in late May - early June. At the time of planting, the plants should be 60-80 days old. Based on this, we can conclude that sowing seeds of the Atlantic F1 variety for seedlings must be done in mid-March.

Before sowing, the seeds of the Atlantic F1 hybrid must be prepared: germinate in a damp cloth or piece of fabric. The optimal temperature for seed germination is +28-+300WITH.Peat pots with a diameter of at least 10 cm or small plastic containers can be used as containers for growing seedlings. The soil can be purchased ready-made or prepared independently by mixing garden soil with humus (compost), peat, sand (processed sawdust). It is recommended to add complex fertilizer (Azofoska, Kemira, Nitrophoska or others) to the resulting loose soil in a volume of 50-70 g per 10 liters of soil.

Important! Before adding to the soil mixture, sawdust must be treated with urea.

The Atlantic F1 hybrid is characterized by cross-pollination, so it is rational to sow two plants of this variety in one pot. This measure will also simplify the care of peppers and increase crop yield per 1 m2 soil.

The hatched seeds of the Atlantic F1 hybrid are planted in the prepared soil to a depth of 1-2 cm. Containers with crops must be placed in a warm place (+23-+250C), illuminated place. Caring for plants involves regular watering. Seedlings need to be fertilized once, at the age of 2 weeks.

Adult peppers, several weeks before planting, need to be hardened by taking them outside. The period of time the plants stay outdoors should be gradually increased, from half an hour to a full day of daylight. This will allow the plant to adapt to temperature conditions and exposure to direct sunlight.

Important! Without hardening, peppers after being planted in the ground significantly slow down their growth for about 2-3 weeks, and can get sunburned.

Picking conditions

It is necessary to plant peppers of the Atlantic F1 variety at the age of 60-80 days from the day of sowing the seeds. Picking is best done in the afternoon, when solar activity decreases.

The height of the Atlantic F1 pepper bush exceeds 1 m, so breeders recommend planting plants no thicker than 4 pcs/m2. If plants are planted in pairs, then the bushes should be placed no thicker than 3 pairs/m2.

Pepper is particularly demanding of heat and light, which must be taken into account when choosing a growing site. Wind, and especially a draft, can harm the plant, so during the growing process it is necessary to provide for wind protection; it may be necessary to create it artificially.

The best predecessors for pepper are mustard, cabbage, radish, turnip, and radish. It is not recommended to grow peppers in the same place where tomatoes were grown. Sandy-clayey soil with a high organic content is the best substrate for growing crops.

Important! When growing Atlantic F1 peppers in open ground, it is recommended to temporarily use a polyethylene cover on arches, which will create the most favorable conditions for the growth of young plants.

Pepper care

For favorable cultivation of peppers, it is necessary to constantly maintain a microclimate with high temperature and low atmospheric humidity. In this case, the soil must be constantly moist. In a greenhouse, the Atlantic F1 variety can be grown together with tomatoes, which also love a dry microclimate, however, peppers need to be watered much more often.

The optimal temperature for peppers at the flowering stage is +24-+280C. The full formation of numerous ovaries is also facilitated by the application of fertilizers with a high content of nitrogen and calcium.

The Atlantic F1 pepper bush is tall, spreading, and heavily leafy, so it is periodically pruned during the growing process. All shoots below the main fork are removed, above this point the longest shoots are trimmed, and excess leaves are removed. Pruning should be done once a week during harvest. This measure will improve the illumination of the ovaries and speed up the process of fruit ripening.

Advice! Atlantic F1 peppers need to be tied up. To do this, during planting, it is necessary to provide for the possibility of installing a vertical support.

If the peppers grow in pairs, then use one support to tie each of them.

The ripening period for peppers of the Atlantic F1 variety is 109-113 days from the day of sowing the seed. Although, as a rule, you can taste the first fruits much earlier. During the period of abundant fruiting, it is necessary to harvest as often as possible so that the plant can concentrate its energy on the development of young fruits. Under favorable conditions, the yield of Atlantic F1 peppers is 9 kg/m2. However, taking into account the feedback from experienced farmers, it can be argued that the maximum yield of the variety reaches 12 kg/m2.

In our area, the weather rarely indulges in warm summers, so I grow all heat-loving crops, including peppers, in a greenhouse. I approach the choice of variety especially carefully, since there are not so many juicy, tasty peppers suitable for our latitudes. Recently, I consider the Atlantic F1 pepper variety to be the best. It is perfectly adapted to greenhouse conditions, where it happily “neighbors” with tomatoes. The variety always pleases with a bountiful harvest with friendly ripening. The taste of the vegetables is amazing: the pulp is very thick, juicy, sweet. Eating fresh peppers is a pleasure; they are also good rolled up. I advise all gardeners to try this variety; it will certainly not leave anyone indifferent.

For several years now, of all the varieties of sweet peppers, I have been growing only Atlantic F1, because I am sure that it has no equal. Despite the fact that pepper is a heat-loving crop, this variety grows and bears fruit well in open ground. I don't use any special growing rules. I plant the seedlings at the end of May, after which I regularly water the plants. The bushes grow tall, so I tie them to a stake. I always try to remove excess foliage and shoots. The soil in the garden is quite nutritious, so I don’t feed the peppers. Even with such modest care, the yield of the Atlantic F1 variety is always very high (the bushes are literally strewn with red fruits). The taste of the vegetable is excellent: the pulp is juicy, aromatic, sweet. In general, the Atlantic F1 variety, in my opinion, has a lot of advantages that both beginners and experienced farmers should definitely pay attention to.
