Pine kvass will ferment for about 1.5-2 days. After this process is completed, the finished drink must be carefully filtered. This can be done using a napkin, paper towels, or any other method. Then put everything in the refrigerator. After the pine kvass has stood for several days, it will lighten a little and be ready for use.All the yeast will settle to the bottom, die, and the drink will be ready to drink. The recommended daily dose of pine kvass is 150-200 ml.
Homemade pine kvass recipe with sour cream
It is worth considering a recipe for pine kvass made with sour cream. Collect young fresh twigs from pine or spruce, rinse and chop. Place the raw materials in a 3-liter container, one-third of the volume, and pour hot boiled water up to the shoulders.
Pour a small cup of sugar into the jar; when the solution has cooled slightly (to +30 C), add a spoonful of sour cream. Then mix everything well, shake and leave to infuse in a dark place, covering the neck with a napkin. Let it sit for 1-2 weeks, while monitoring the degree of readiness of the drink, then strain. Second recipe
This method of preparing pine kvass was developed by B.V. Bolotov, a Soviet-era scientist. It is based on the ability of lactic acid products (sour cream, whey) to cause fermentation.
Ingredients:
- pine needles (dry) – 3 cups;
- sour cream – 2 tbsp;
- water – 3 l;
- sugar – 125 g.
Prepare a hot infusion of pine needles. To do this, pour boiling water over pine (spruce) branches, previously washed and chopped. Add sugar, leave covered until +30 C. Remove pine needles from the drink and pass through a filter. Dilute sour cream in a small amount of broth and only then add it to the solution. The pine kvass will ferment for about 3 days, after which it will be strained again and bottled.Place in the refrigerator for storage.
How to take pine drink
Pine kvass, like any herbal medicine, must be taken on an empty stomach. It is better to do this in the morning before breakfast or in between meals. Take a cup of pine kvass per serving, one or several times a day.
