  1. We prepare the vegetables - it is better to form small pieces, wash them properly and peel them.
  2. Pour citric acid into water prepared in advance. It should be at room temperature. We make sure that the acid dissolves properly.
  3. Next, add cinnamon to the water.
  4. Add all the pumpkin cubes and let them marinate. Keep at room temperature for about 8 hours.
  5. To make the pumpkin compote look like pineapple, add vinegar at the end.
  6. When the vegetables are thoroughly marinated, you can put them on the fire, turning it on to maximum
  7. When the mixture boils, add all the granulated sugar to it. Continue cooking, stirring slightly. We do this carefully so that the pieces do not fall apart and the appearance of the product does not deteriorate.
  8. In total, the cooking process lasts about 30 minutes. After this, the compote can be poured into jars.

  3. Add sugar. The list of ingredients indicates the minimum amount. If you are a sweet tooth, you can increase the amount of sugar to 300-400 g.
  4. After adding granulated sugar, you need to cook the dish for about 5 more minutes. During this time it should completely dissolve. Don't forget to stir well with a spoon so that the sand doesn't burn.
