Plastic hot tubs
Frost-resistant plastic pools for summer cottages can withstand severe frosts. The installed structure, due to the equipped concrete base, is stronger than the frame font. However, after installation, the plastic container cannot be disassembled and moved to another place, and for the winter it must be covered with an awning to protect it from snow and water.
Bowls are usually made to order. Shape, color, depth and other parameters depend on the wishes of the customer. In the store you can buy a ready-made polypropylene font, but such products are not durable.
Installing a plastic frost-resistant pool is complex and requires large investments. For the font, they dig a pit at the dacha. The bottom is covered with a cushion of sand and crushed stone, a reinforcing mesh is laid and everything is filled with concrete. The site needs to be perfectly flat. Concrete fonts
The most reliable and frost-resistant option for a summer residence is a stationary concrete pool. The owner individually calculates the dimensions, shape, and depth of the bowl. The disadvantage is the labor intensity of construction, but the concrete structure, if the installation technology is followed, will last for many years.
The advantages of concrete structures include the following:
- strength;
- no restrictions on the effects of minimum and maximum temperatures;
- individual choice of shape, dimensions, depth;
- of all existing models, the concrete font is characterized by the longest service life;
- concrete walls can be restored.
In addition to the complexity of installation, the disadvantage is the need to use cleaning equipment.
The manufacture of a concrete structure consists of the following steps:
- work begins with drawing up a project;
- after planning the site, a pit is dug, the size of which takes into account the thickness of the concrete walls of the bowl;
- the bottom is covered with a cushion of crushed stone and sand 35 cm thick;
- after compacting the cushion, a layer of concrete 10 cm thick is poured;
- the hardened reinforced concrete slab is treated with bitumen, a reinforcing frame is laid, and a finishing layer of high-quality concrete is poured on top, which serves as the bottom of the pool;
- for concreting the walls, wooden formwork is assembled and a reinforced frame is installed around the perimeter;
- The solution is poured at a time to create a monolithic structure.
The concrete bowl dries out for at least a month. After removing the formwork, finishing work and installation of equipment begins.
Acrylic bowls
A new type of frost-resistant pools is acrylic bowls. The manufacturing technology is similar to bathtubs. The difference is the large size. Proof of frost resistance is the fact that acrylic is used in shipbuilding. Installing a hot tub is no different from installing a plastic container. A pit is dug for the bowl, the bottom and side walls are concreted.
Most often, acrylic bathtubs are installed in public places, but nothing prevents you from acquiring a modern product in your dacha. The advantages include the following characteristics:
- reinforced fiber increases the strength of the product and also helps retain its shape;
- non-slip surface is safe for bathers;
- acrylic does not absorb dirt, which promotes the growth of bacteria;
- resistance to low and high temperatures;
- Low weight simplifies installation of the bowl.
The disadvantage is the special preparation of the pool for wintering. The font is filled 2/3 of the volume with water with the addition of preservation reagents. If the preparation technology is violated, frozen water will crack the acrylic container.
Features of preserving a frame pool for the winter
At the end of the summer season, you should not delay the preparation of the frame pool for wintering. Frosts can come unexpectedly and damage the bowl with equipment left with water. Preparation for wintering includes the following steps:
- First, the water is purified using disinfectants. Chlorine-based preparations are mainly used.
- The next step is to clean the filter.
- All equipment is dismantled, washed and disassembled and left to dry.
- Pressure capacitors are attached to the bottom and walls of the bowl.
- Any remaining water is drained from all hoses that connect the equipment.The holes are closed with plugs that protect against the ingress of debris and the penetration of small rodents.
- The font is covered with an awning. The pool remains in this condition until the start of the next swimming season at the dacha.
Preparing a frame pool for winter will not create any special difficulties. Small containers are usually placed at the dacha. Large models are in demand in elite areas. The difficulty in preparing such baths for winter is the issue of draining a large amount of water.
All frost-resistant pools are easy to use. The main difference is the complexity of installation. It is important to pay constant attention to care. If you follow the rules of operation, the font will last for many years, providing residents of the dacha with a wonderful relaxation area.
