Fungicide Bravo

Fungal diseases affect grain crops, vegetables, vineyards and flower beds. The easiest way is to prevent the development of the disease at an early stage. Preventive treatments based on the drug Bravo protect the surface of plants from the spread of fungus.

Features of the fungicide

Bravo is a contact fungicide with a protective effect. It contains chlorothalonil, the content of which is 500 g per 1 liter of the drug.

Chlorothalonil is a substance of low toxicity that can cope with various diseases. The substance remains on the surface of the leaves for a long time and prevents the germination of fungal cells. As a result, pathogenic microorganisms lose their ability to penetrate plant tissue.

Within 5-40 days, the active substance disintegrates in the soil into safe components. However, in water, chlorothalonil can remain in a permanent form for a long time.

The drug Bravo is effective against the following diseases:

  • peronosporosis;
  • late blight;
  • Alternaria blight;
  • diseases of the ear and leaves of grain crops.

Fungicide Bravo is supplied in the form of a liquid, creamy suspension. The product is used as a concentrated solution. The protective effect lasts from 7 to 14 days.

The drug is sold in plastic containers of 20 ml, 100 ml, 1 l, 5 l and 10 l.The product is compatible with other fungicides and insecticides. Before use in tank mixtures, drugs are checked for compatibility.

Application procedure

Based on the drug Bravo, a working solution for spraying plants is obtained. The consumption rate is determined depending on the type of crop. According to reviews, Bravo fungicide is suitable for personal plots and farms.

To prepare the solution, use containers made of glass or plastic. The solution must be used within 24 hours. Plantings are processed manually or using specialized equipment.

Wheat

Spring and winter wheat needs protection from powdery mildew, rust and septoria. To spray plantings, 2.5 liters of Bravo are required per 1 hectare of occupied area.

During the season, 2 preventive treatments are enough. The use of Bravo fungicide is allowed in the presence of the first signs of the disease and its moderate development. Spraying is carried out during the growing season. 300 liters of solution are prepared for 1 hectare.

Barley

Barley is susceptible to various types of rust (stem, dwarf), powdery mildew and spotting. Spraying with a solution of the drug Bravo protects plantings from diseases and prevents their spread.

The Bravo fungicide solution is prepared in accordance with the instructions for use. To treat 1 hectare, 2.5 liters of suspension are required. The liquid consumption for treating the specified area is 300 liters.

Potato

The most common potato diseases are late blight and alternaria. The lesions are fungal in nature. First, the disease in the form of dark spots covers the above-ground parts of the plants, then spreads to the tubers.

The first treatment of potatoes is carried out when the first symptoms of the disease are present. No more than 3 treatments are required during the season. A gap of 7-10 days is maintained between procedures.

According to the instructions for using the Bravo fungicide, the consumption per 1 ha is 2.5 liters. To treat this planting area, 400 liters of ready-made solution are needed.

Onion

Onions often suffer from peronosporosis. The disease spreads in rainy, cold weather. The defeat is caused by a fungus that reaches the plants with wind and raindrops.

A sign of downy mildew is the presence of rusty spots on the feathers of onions. Over time, the feathers turn yellow and adhere to the ground, and the fungus spreads to the bulb.

Important! Protective measures begin at an early stage of the growing season. Treatment is carried out if weather conditions contribute to the development of the disease.

For 1 hectare of plantings, 3 liters of the drug are required. The consumption of the ready-made Bravo fungicide solution according to the instructions is 300-400 liters per 1 ha. During the season, onions are sprayed three times, no more than once every 10 days.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes need protection from late blight and brown spot.These are fungal diseases that affect leaves, stems and fruits.

To protect tomatoes from diseases, the consumption of Bravo fungicide per 1 hectare of plantings is 3 liters. No more than 3 treatments are carried out per season.

The first spraying is carried out when creating favorable conditions for the development of diseases: high humidity, low temperatures, thickened plantings. The next treatment begins after 10 days. 400-600 liters of drug solution are required per 1 hectare.

Grape

Grapes are susceptible to fungal diseases: oidium, mildew, anthracnose. Lesions appear on the leaves and gradually spread to the entire bush. As a result, productivity is lost and the grapes may die.

To protect plantings from diseases, they practice treating the vineyard with a solution of the fungicide Bravo. According to the instructions, 10 liters of water require 25 g of suspension. In early spring they begin to spray the bushes. 3 weeks before harvesting, stop using the fungicide completely.

Precautionary measures

The drug Bravo belongs to the 2nd class of danger for warm-blooded organisms and the 3rd class for bees. The active substance is toxic to fish, so treatment is carried out away from water bodies.

Upon contact with the skin and mucous membranes, the solution causes irritation. When working with Bravo fungicide, wear long sleeves and rubber gloves. Respiratory organs are protected with a mask or respirator.

Spraying is carried out in dry weather without strong wind. The permissible speed of movement of air masses is up to 5 m/s.

Important! If the solution gets into your eyes or skin, wash the area of contact thoroughly with water.

In case of poisoning, the victim is taken out into fresh air and given several glasses of water and activated carbon to drink. Be sure to call an ambulance.

The drug Bravo is kept in a dry room, away from animals, children, medicines, and food products. Shelf life - up to 3 years from the date specified by the manufacturer.

Reviews from gardeners

Elena, 32 years old, Perm
Last year the lilies suffered greatly from fusarium wilt. To combat the disease, a contact fungicide is needed. After studying various sources, I settled on the Bravo fungicide. According to reviews, the product has a good preventive effect. The drug turned out to be very effective; after a series of treatments, no new signs of the disease appeared. In the future I plan to use the solution for preventive purposes.
Anna, 43 years old, Ryazan
I use Bravo fungicide only to prevent diseases before their signs appear. I process potatoes and tomatoes. To do this, I make a solution to which I add the fungicides Bravo and Skor. I start spraying when there is a lot of rainfall. In such conditions, diseases spread very quickly. For treatment I choose more potent drugs.
Oleg, 55 years old, Stavropol
My vineyard most often suffers from mildew. I begin protecting bushes from damage early. Before the buds open, I treat the plantings with a contact fungicide. I add 20 g of the drug to 10 liters of water. I spray the plants in the evening to avoid exposure to sunlight. If signs of disease have already appeared on the grapes, it is better to additionally use systemic remedies.

Conclusion

The drug Bravo is a reliable means of contact action. It is used by farms for processing grain and vegetable crops.In the garden plot, the fungicide protects grapes and roses from fungal infections. When working with the drug, take precautions. The product is used strictly in accordance with the instructions.
