In the fight against plant diseases, summer residents use various folk remedies and special preparations. To suppress the growth and spread of fungi, experienced gardeners use fungicides that perform several functions: protective, therapeutic. Main types of action of substances:
- systemic – prevent the development of disease in plant tissues;
- contact ones fight fungi on the surface;
- system-contact.
Fungicide Acrobat MC is a systemic contact preparation - it simultaneously protects and treats plants inside and out. The solution of this product is quickly absorbed by green spaces, but is easily washed off from their surface during rains, which must be taken into account when using.
Advantages of the product
Acrobat MC is used for the prevention of plant diseases: Alternaria, macrosporiosis, late blight, mildew, downy mildew. Also prevents the spread and treats these fungal diseases. The main advantages of the substance:
- long period of action (about two weeks) and prevention of fungal development both on the surface of crops and in tissues;
- healing effect. The dimethomorph component destroys the mycelium of the fungus that has infected the plants.A guaranteed result can be obtained if you start treatment with the fungicide Acrobat MC no later than 3 days after infection with the disease;
- prevents the formation of spores, which significantly slows down the spread of diseases;
- does not contain elements from the class of dithiocarbamates (substances with pronounced toxic characteristics harmful to humans).
Fungicide Acrobat MC is safe for the environment and is compatible with other contact fungicides. It is produced in the form of granules and sold in bags of 20 g, 1 kg, 10 kg.
Recommendations for use
Sprayers are used to treat plants. During irrigation, the plants should be evenly covered with the solution. The optimal period for spraying is early morning or evening, at an air temperature of +17-25˚ C.
To get a high-quality result, the fungicide is used in dry weather. Even if Acrobat MC is applied a couple of hours before it rains, its effectiveness will significantly decrease.
Fight for potatoes
The most harmful diseases of root crops are late blight and alternaria. These diseases can affect potato plants in any growing area. Methods of combating fungi differ:
- To prevent late blight, it is important to devote time to prevention, since under conditions favorable for the fungus, potatoes are affected in a couple of days. Therefore, if there is a high risk of disease (cold, damp early summer), root crops are sprayed before the rows close. To treat weaving, it is enough to dissolve 20 g of Acrobat MC in 4 liters of water. Repeated spraying is carried out after the tops close, but before flowering.And the third time the drug is used after the end of flowering;
- It is necessary to protect potatoes from Alternaria when signs of the disease appear on the leaves. To stop the disease, 1-2 sprays are enough. Dilute 20 g in 4 liters of water (enough for 1 hundred square meters). It is advisable to use Acrobat MC if symptoms appear on approximately half of the tomato bushes. In the future, if the leaves of the middle tier on all bushes are affected, spraying with the fungicide is repeated.
How to preserve tomatoes
Late blight appears and spreads on tomato bushes at high humidity and low temperatures (this includes fogs and sudden changes in daily temperatures). Close potato beds can also provoke the development of disease in tomatoes. It is believed that when the first signs of the disease appear on potatoes, the tomatoes will become infected within one and a half to two weeks.
But even in the absence of signs of disease, you should not refuse preventive spraying. 2-3 weeks after planting, tomato seedlings are treated with Acrobat MC. 3-4 liters of solution per hundred square meters is enough. Plants quickly absorb the composition. Since the fungicide is a systemic contact preparation, you don’t have to worry that in the event of a sudden rain it will be washed off the greenery to no avail. But it is advisable to spray the bushes in dry weather. It is recommended to carry out 2-3 irrigations per season with an interval of three weeks. Moreover, the last time the fungicide is used is 25-30 days before harvest.
Processing cucumbers
Most often, vegetables are affected by peronosporosis in greenhouses. In open ground, this disease can occur with high air humidity.The first signs are yellow-oily spots on the front side of the leaves. To process cucumbers, dissolve 20 g of granules in 7 liters of water. This volume is enough to spray one hundred square meters. If the disease is not stopped, the leaves will turn brown, dry out and only petioles will remain on the stems. Prevention with the fungicide Acrobat MC is a powerful protective measure, so experienced gardeners advise not to wait for the first symptoms to appear. Up to 5 sprayings are usually carried out per season.
Pollination of grapes
Mildew is considered the number 1 enemy of grapes. The disease spreads quickly, especially with high humidity. Characteristic signs are pale light green or yellow spots of different sizes. The main way to combat the spread of fungal diseases is fungicides. For preventive purposes, grapes are sprayed before and after flowering. 20 g of fungicide Acrobat MC is diluted in 10 liters of water (consumption – area of 100 square meters). If the season is characterized by prolonged rains, then you can additionally spray the grapes at the beginning of the berries, but about a month before harvest.
Systematic use of any fungicides may reduce the effectiveness of the result, so it is important to correctly adhere to the dosage specified by the manufacturer. It is also recommended to periodically alternate between different drugs.
Precautionary measures
Acrobat MC does not harm bees, soil microorganisms and worms. Since the fungicide is a chemical substance, safety precautions must be observed when spraying the solution.
- To prepare the composition, use a special container (not food container).Be sure to wear protective equipment: special clothing, gloves, goggles, respirator.
- Before starting spraying work, you must make sure that there are no other people or animals nearby. When spraying, do not smoke, drink or eat.
- At the end of the work, thoroughly wash your hands and face with soap and rinse your mouth.
- If the fungicide solution does get on the skin, mucous membranes, or eyes, wash off the product with a large volume of water.
- If it so happens that someone drank the solution, it is necessary to take activated carbon orally and wash it down with plenty of liquid. Be sure to consult a doctor.
To store the package of Acrobat MC fungicide granules, it is advisable to allocate a separate closed container so that children cannot get the drug. The optimal storage temperature is + 30-35 ˚ C. The shelf life of the granules is 2 years.
Fungicide Acrobat MC reliably protects plants from fungal diseases. There is an opinion that such chemicals are harmful to human health. However, the amount of substance used to pollinate plantings is completely safe. Naturally, subject to compliance with the rules of application and terms of plant processing.
