The zucchini itself, with an average weight of 1 kg, has a length of 20 cm. In shape, it resembles a cylinder, tapering towards the stalk. Recommendations for cultivation

This variety can be grown both by seeds and seedlings. When planting seeds, you should follow simple rules:

  1. Seeds are planted in prepared soil in late May early June. It is better to choose a day when the minimum soil temperature is 12 degrees.
  2. It is better to first let the seeds germinate a little by placing them in a damp cloth. This technique will significantly increase their germination rate.
  3. Before sowing seeds of this variety, you need to prepare the holes. They are dug out every 70 cm and thoroughly shed with warm water. When the water is absorbed a little, you can plant 2-3 seeds in each hole.
  4. Planted seeds should be covered with film to ensure good thermal conditions. After the shoots emerge, holes should be made in the film so that they can grow.
  5. Only one strong sprout should be left in each hole. Carefully remove the rest.

Seedlings are prepared 2-3 weeks before planting in the ground. At the same time, it’s a good idea to keep it under film for the first time so that it can better take root in its new place.

Advice! To ensure better access of sunlight to the plant and ovaries, it is necessary to remove several leaves in the center of the bush at the beginning of its formation.

This technique will also help pollinating insects find flowers.

This variety of zucchini requires watering once a week, 2 liters per bush. During dry summers, increase the frequency to 2-3 times a week.

Zucchini of this variety responds well to organic fertilizers. Infusions of mullein and bird droppings are good for feeding. It is better to do fertilizing in three stages:

  1. Before flowering begins.
  2. At the moment of flowering.
  3. During fruit set.

This variety is harvested in August-September. You need to cut the zucchini so that there is a tail of about 5 cm.When harvesting, to ensure better preservation of the fruits, they are not washed or damaged.

Reviews of Zheltoplodny zucchini

Anna, 29 years old, Ufa
This is the second yellow-fruited variety I've planted. The first one, unfortunately, fell ill with powdery mildew and I saw almost no harvest. On the bag of zucchini seeds of this variety it was written that it is resistant to powdery mildew. I planted it with germinated seeds directly into the ground. The seedlings even had to be thinned out. The bushes bloomed very quickly and a lot of fruit began to appear. The zucchini grew quickly. I picked them small. But if the zucchini outgrows, it remains long and does not thicken like some varieties. I really liked the taste of these zucchini. He is very gentle. Zucchini stores well. They lay in the pantry all winter and not one of them rotted. Twists work well with it. It’s not for nothing that it was written on the packaging that the variety is universal. I definitely recommend it.

This is my first time growing this variety. Seed germination is good. I even had to pull some out, otherwise too much had sprung up. They began to bloom and set quickly. Zucchini is a cheerful yellow color, growing 2-6 pieces on each bush. When I planted them, I couldn’t even imagine that there would be so many of them! We collected zucchini until mid-September and no longer knew what to do with them. At first we stored them in the garage, then when it got colder, we brought them onto the balcony. I gradually used them, but some lasted until the New Year. I liked the taste of them. They are dense and juicy. There is no wateriness that occurs with zucchini. I liked this variety and will plant it again. It has good germination and yield. And its small bushes can significantly save space in the garden.
