Characteristics of the variety
Sweet pepper Pride of Russia is an early-ripening variety of domestic selection. It can begin to bear fruit within 100 - 105 days from emergence. Its plants are quite compact, their height does not exceed 50 cm. Each of its bushes can bear up to 20 large fruits. The weight of each fruit will be about 150 grams. In their shape they resemble a slightly narrowed prism. Pepper Pride of Russia changes color depending on the degree of ripeness. The light green unripe fruit turns deep red as it ripens.
Pride of Russia peppers have fairly thick flesh. The thickness of their walls will range from 6 to 7 mm. The taste of the pulp is very juicy and sweet. - Regular watering. Plants should be watered only as needed. Do not over-water the soil or allow it to dry out excessively. It is optimal to water 2-3 times a week in the morning or evening.Important! To water any type of sweet pepper, only warm, settled water is used. Watering with cold water can lead to the death of the plant's root system.
- Regular weeding and loosening. If this is not done, the weeds will begin to pull nutrients from the soil, interfering with the normal growth of the plant.These procedures are carried out as needed, but, as a rule, no more than once a week.
- Top dressing. It should be done 1 or 2 times a month. You should start feeding plants from the beginning of flowering until the end of the growing season. When choosing fertilizer, you should give preference to organic and mineral fertilizers. They must be brought under the base of the bush, trying not to touch its foliage.
Despite the fact that sweet pepper is a fairly heat-loving crop, if exposed to temperatures above 35 degrees for a long time, it can begin to hurt, as well as drop flowers and ovaries.
