Recommendations for cultivation

The most important condition for obtaining an excellent harvest of this variety of sweet pepper is properly prepared seedlings. The best month to prepare it is February. Ali Baba seedlings should be prepared in the same way as for tomatoes. In addition, there are several recommendations, the implementation of which will allow you to obtain strong and healthy seedlings of the Ali Baba variety of sweet pepper:

  1. Only live seeds should be planted. Living seeds can be identified by immersing them in water. Only those seeds that have sunk to the bottom are suitable for planting. The floating seeds are empty and will not germinate, so they can be thrown away.
  2. Seeds suitable for planting are soaked in water for several days.

Advice! You can add any growth stimulant to the water. This will not only increase the rate of emergence of seedlings, but also increase the immunity of future plants.
  3. Hardening off seedlings is a mandatory procedure when planting in open beds. For planting in greenhouses, hardening is desirable, but not necessary. In order to harden young plants, they need to be provided with a night temperature of 10 to 13 degrees.

Following these simple recommendations will allow you to obtain strong seedlings of Ali Baba sweet pepper.

Plants of this variety are planted in a permanent location in May - June. To ensure normal growth, at least 40 cm must be left between neighboring plants. The same distance should be between their rows.

Caring for Ali Baba sweet pepper bushes includes:

  • Regular watering. For it you should take only warm, settled water. Each plant should receive 1 to 2 liters of water. In this case, overhead watering is possible only before the beginning of the budding period. During flowering and until the end of harvesting, watering should be carried out only at the base of the bush.
  • Fertilizing with mineral and organic fertilizers. Its frequency should not exceed 2 times a month. Fertilizers are applied only under the bush so as not to damage the foliage.
  • Loosening and weeding.

This year I chose Ali Baba sweet pepper for planting in the greenhouse - the reviews about it were quite good. I planted the seedlings in early June, watered them regularly and fertilized them with mineral fertilizer at the beginning of flowering. The harvest was not just big, but huge. We didn't know where to put them. At the same time, all the bushes began to bear fruit, 7-9 fruits each. They taste very juicy. I can recommend Ali Baba, he made me happy.

This is the second year I’ve planted Ali Baba, and I’m again surprised by its yield. True, this year it turned out that some peppers grew with their tips up, although they should all be down. They say this happened due to cross-pollination with neighboring varieties, but this did not affect the taste of the fruit in any way.
