Cupar

Carrots of this hybrid variety are distinguished not only by their commercial qualities, but also by their taste. Sugar in it will not exceed 9.1%, and dry matter will not exceed 13%. At the same time, Cupar carrots are rich in carotene. Due to this composition, it is ideal not only for cooking and freezing, but also for baby food.

Advice! It makes juices and purees especially well.

This hybrid variety has good yield. You can collect up to 5 kg per square meter. Features of the hybrid variety Kupar are the resistance of root crops to cracking and long-term storage.

Important! Long-term storage does not mean forever.Therefore, to ensure better preservation of root crops, they must be protected from withering using sawdust, clay or sand.

Recommendations for cultivation

A high carrot yield directly depends on the soil on the site. Loose, fertile sandy loam or light loamy soils are ideal for it. Lighting also plays an important role: the more sun, the greater the harvest. The best predecessors for carrots are:

  • cabbage;
  • tomatoes;
  • onion;
  • cucumbers;
  • potato.

Cupar F1 is planted at soil temperatures above +5 degrees. As a rule, this temperature is set closer to the beginning of May. The following stages of planting carrot seeds are distinguished:

  1. First, you should make small grooves no more than 3 cm deep. Their bottom is spilled with warm water and compacted a little. The optimal distance between two grooves should not exceed 20 cm.
  2. The seeds are sown to a depth of 1 cm. They should be lightly sprayed with water, covered with soil and sprayed with water again. This sequence will increase seed germination.
  3. Mulching the soil. In this case, the mulch layer should be no more than 1 cm. Instead of mulch, any covering material will do. But you will need to leave a space of up to 5 cm between it and the bed. When the seeds germinate, the covering material must be removed.

To ensure the necessary nutrition, carrots must be thinned. This is done in two steps:

  1. At the moment of formation of paired leaves. In this case, only weak shoots need to be removed. The optimal distance between young plants is 3 cm.
  2. When the root crops reach a size of 1 cm. The plants are removed so that the distance between neighbors is up to 5 cm. The holes from the plants must be sprinkled with earth.

The Cupar F1 variety should be watered with warm water, not abundantly, but regularly throughout the season. It is better to do this in the morning or evening.

This hybrid variety responds well to the following fertilizers:

  • nitrogen fertilizers;
  • urea;
  • superphosphate;
  • bird droppings;
  • wood ash.
Important! Only manure fertilizers are not suitable for carrots. Due to their use, root crops lose their presentation and are poorly stored.

Only whole root vegetables without cracks can be stored. Their tops must be removed.

This was the first time I planted this variety. I liked the picture on the package and the description. The seeds have good germination. In appearance, carrots have a blunt nose with a pointed tip. Carrots taste great. I recommend the variety.

I have been planting Cupar for 3 years now. The tops of this variety are very powerful. I like Kupar because the root vegetables are smooth and quite large. They are very tasty and do not spoil for a long time - I store them in sand. If you thin them out in time, the harvest will be good. If not, then the root vegetables will not grow properly. The variety is good, I recommend it.
