Carrot Dolyanka

Among late-ripening varieties, Dolyanka carrots stand out for their remarkable qualities.

Dolyanka

A variety tested by several generations of gardeners. It has won trust and respect for its unpretentiousness, high yield and excellent taste. Even a small bed sown with Dolyanka carrot seeds can meet the family’s needs for the entire season. And for those who sell vegetables, Dolyanka is the most suitable choice. Presentation is excellent, good shelf life, nutritional value does not decrease until mid-winter.

It’s quite simple to list all the benefits of late-ripening Dolyanka carrots. This variety satisfies all the needs of gardeners and buyers:

  1. Good germination. The seeds germinate so well that the rows have to be thinned. It should be remembered that you need to pull out excess root crops vertically upward, without shaking the plant. This will help protect nearby growing carrots from damage.
  2. High quality presentation. Root vegetables have a classic cone shape with a pointed tip and a tip that is not prone to greening. The carrots are long, smooth-skinned, medium-width, very beautiful and appetizing.
  3. High yield. Even under average growing conditions, Dolyanka carrots make it possible to harvest more than 8 kg of vegetables from 1 square meter. m of soil. If you provide high-quality care for this variety, then such carrots will become a permanent resident on the site.
  4. High percentage of nutrients. The content of carotene (the main valuable component of carrots), sugars, amino acids and vitamins allows Dolyanka to be used in children's diets and for dietary programs. Freshly squeezed juice perfectly strengthens the immune system and helps restore the body after overload or illness.
  5. Unpretentiousness of the variety to growing conditions. The variety is drought-resistant. Regular watering is necessary during the growth period of root crops. Otherwise, moisture deficiency leads to a decrease in the size of the carrot and “horniness” (additional roots grow on the side surface). Dolyanka carrots are not susceptible to carrot fly and fusarium. The root crop protrudes slightly above the soil, making it easy to harvest.

Gardeners highly value the variety and recommend it for cultivation in any region.

I don’t consider myself an experienced vegetable grower, so Dolyanka is the most suitable carrot variety for me. I never worry about seed germination; I can finish sowing at any time. Late-ripening varieties are very profitable. If you sow early, you will reap the harvest at the usual time. If you're a little late, it will still grow by a bunch.

This is the variety my mother grew. Since childhood, I have loved carrot juice. When I started planting vegetables myself, “Dolyanka” became the main variety of carrots for me. I sow some of the seeds in late autumn before winter, and some in the spring. All year round the family enjoys delicious crunchy carrots. The juiciness is such that no effort is needed to obtain juice. I recommend it to anyone who can’t work in the garden all day. “Dolyanka” tolerates simplified care very well.
