Description of the plant and fruits

The Anet F1 hybrid is characterized by a strong, medium-sized bush with rich leaves. Gives a bountiful harvest. Eggplant reaches ripeness 60-70 from the day the seedlings are planted in the ground. Fruits for a long time and stably until the arrival of frost.

It is worth noting the following advantages of the Anet F1 hybrid:

  • early maturation;
  • high productivity;
  • the fruits are beautiful and glossy;
  • eggplant can withstand transportation;
  • Due to rapid recovery, the bushes are resistant to pests.

Important! Some producers treat the seeds with thiram, in which case they do not need to be soaked before sowing.

Conditions for growing eggplants

In the southern regions of Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, the Caucasus and Central Asia, eggplant can be grown in open ground. In the regions of central Russia, bushes are planted in film or glass greenhouses.

Eggplants require more heat than crops such as tomatoes and peppers.The most suitable temperature for seed germination is between 20-25 degrees. Under such conditions, seedlings can be expected in a little more than a week. The extremely low temperature at which germination is possible is about 14 degrees.

Eggplant is not frost-resistant. When the temperature drops to 13 degrees and below, the plant turns yellow and dies.

For eggplants to grow, the following conditions are needed:

  1. Warm. If the temperature drops to 15 degrees, the eggplant stops growing.
  2. Moisture. With insufficient moisture, plant development is disrupted, flowers and ovaries fly away, and fruits grow in irregular shapes. Also, the fruits may have a bitter taste, which under normal conditions is not observed in the Anet F1 hybrid.
  3. Light. Eggplant does not tolerate darkening well, which should be taken into account when choosing a planting site.
  4. Fertile soil. For growing eggplants, the preferred soil types are chernozem and loam. The soil should be light and rich in organic matter.

If all conditions are met, the Anet F1 hybrid bears fruit perfectly, the eggplants grow in the correct shape, and the pulp does not have a bitter taste at all.

Preparing eggplant seedlings

Just as in the case of tomatoes and peppers, eggplant should first be sown as seedlings. If the seeds are pre-treated with thiram, they should not be soaked so as not to remove the protective layer. In the absence of pre-treatment, the seeds are first kept in a red potassium permanganate solution for 20 minutes. Then they are left in hot water for another 25 minutes.

Once processing is complete, the wet seeds are left on the cloth until they hatch. They are kept in a warm room in a damp state until the roots come out. Next they are sown in the ground.

The soil for eggplants is prepared as follows:

  • 5 parts of fertile turf;
  • 3 parts humus;
  • 1 part sand.

To improve the quality of the mixture, it is recommended to add mineral fertilizer (per 10 liters of soil): nitrogen 10 g, potassium 10 g, phosphorus 20 g.

Before planting seeds, make a hole in the soil at a depth of 2 cm. Moisten the soil, lower the seed and cover with soil. Before emergence of seedlings, the plantings are covered with film. The air temperature should be 25-28 degrees.

Important! To avoid stretching the seedlings, after the emergence of seedlings, the pots are moved closer to the window: the lighting is increased and the temperature is lowered.

5 days after emergence, the seedlings are kept warm again. When the roots grow and occupy the entire pot, all its contents must be carefully dumped and moved to a larger container. After the appearance of the third full leaf, you can add a special fertilizer for seedlings.

Transplanting into the ground: basic recommendations

A total of 60 days pass before the seedlings are planted in the ground. An eggplant ready for transplanting into the ground has:

  • up to 9 developed leaves;
  • individual buds;
  • height within 17-20 cm;
  • well developed root system.

14 days before the planned transplant, young plants are hardened off. If the seedlings were grown at home, they are taken out to the balcony. If it was kept in a greenhouse, then it is moved to the open air (temperature 10-15 degrees and above).

Seeds for seedlings are sown in the second half of February - the first half of March. Plants are planted in a greenhouse or in soil under film in the second half of May.

Important! When planting seedlings, the soil temperature should reach at least 14 degrees.

In order for the seedlings to take root well and continue to develop, it is necessary to maintain humidity and temperature. It is necessary to regularly loosen the soil and feed the plants. The maximum air humidity is 60-70%, and the air temperature is about 25-28 degrees.

When choosing which variety of eggplant to plant, you should pay attention to the Anet F1 hybrid. As the experience of gardeners confirms, it is characterized by high yield and excellent taste. Eggplant has a marketable appearance, is well stored and is suitable for preparing a wide variety of dishes. To obtain a bountiful harvest, it is important to follow the recommendations for growing the crop.

Reviews from gardeners

The following are several reviews from gardeners about the Anet F1 hybrid.

Anna, Krasnodar city
I am very pleased with Anet F1 eggplants. The fruits are aesthetic and tasty, the skin is shiny and even on eggplants that have been hanging on the bush for a long time, they remain thin. I was pleasantly surprised that all the seeds sprouted, and there were only 10 of them in the bag. I would like to note that, in comparison with other varieties, the hybrid is quite capricious; when the soil dries out a little, yellow leaves appear. But overall I’m satisfied with the taste and yield.
Margarita, Volgograd
I want to share my experience of growing eggplants. I took the hybrid Anet F1 - and did not regret it. Impressed by the yield of the bushes. My fruits were small in size, but there were a lot of them. I planted several bushes in a greenhouse and several in open ground. They fruited well in both beds.
Elena, Novorossiysk
I really liked the shape of the Anet F1 fruits, the smooth and shiny eggplants. Versatile in preparation. The variety gives a bountiful harvest.
