Landing Features

Planting the Renklod variety is an important component of proper tree care.

Recommended timing

It is recommended to plant seedlings of subspecies of the Renklod variety in the spring.

Choosing a suitable location

When choosing a suitable location in the garden plot, it is worth considering a number of factors:

  1. The soil should be loose and fertile.

  3. High groundwater levels should be avoided.
  4. The place should be located on a hill.

What crops can and cannot be planted nearby?

The Renklod variety requires pollinating trees for a bountiful harvest. Similar subspecies cope with this task excellently. They are recommended to be planted next to each other. It is not recommended to place plantings of cherry plum, Chinese plum, and sloe nearby.

Selection and preparation of planting material

Planting material must be prepared in advance. A standard set of garden tools includes:

  • shovel;
  • rake for loosening;
  • stakes, rope for fixing the seedling;
  • fertilizers;
  • water.

Landing algorithm

The procedure for planting Renklod cuttings begins in the fall. The algorithm is very simple:

  1. Holes for seedlings are prepared in the fall. Depth is at least 60 cm. Diameter is more than 70 cm.
  2. Preparing the soil mixture. The soil from the pit is mixed with humus and potassium.
  3. Two pegs are lowered into the hole.
  4. A cutting is installed nearby. Its roots should be 5 cm from the bottom of the hole. Sprinkle with earth and compact.
  5. The young tree is tied to stakes with a soft rope.
  6. Water each planting thoroughly.

Aftercare for plums

Renklod plum is an unpretentious plant. Caring for it will not require large time or material costs:

  1. Watering. Renklod does not like excessive moisture. It is recommended to water regularly, but moderately.
  2. Fertilizer. Plant feeding begins 3 years after planting. Before flowering, saltpeter, potassium salt, and mineral fertilizers are poured into the soil next to the tree. During flowering, the plum is fed with urea. After flowering, the tree is given a solution of mullein and superphosphate.
  3. Trimming. The procedure is performed before the first foliage appears and in early June.
  4. Preparing for winter. Young seedlings are covered with spruce branches and pine needles. It is enough to whiten adult trees and cover the roots with sawdust.
  5. Disease prevention, pests

Diseases and pests, methods of control and prevention

Reviews

Volodin Arseny, Kursk
I spent a long time choosing a plum for my dacha. I really wanted to have an excellent harvest with delicious fruits with a minimum of effort. Neighbors suggested planting Renklod Altana. Five years have passed. I have never regretted my choice. Despite the harsh winters, the tree does not get sick and bears fruit abundantly. I don’t spend a lot of time or resources on care. I can confidently recommend this plum to other summer residents.
Kulagina Lidiya, Moscow region
They imprisoned Renklod Sovetsky together with his grandchildren. Another harvest has recently been harvested. Every year it becomes more and more. We decided to increase the number of seedlings. We use sweet plums in different ways: we make preserves, jams, and cover compotes. For grandchildren, Renklod Sovetsky is the best summer dessert.
