Calvolite for calves

Calvolit for calves is a mineral feed mixture (MCF), which is a ready-made powder. Used primarily for replacement young stock.

Purpose of Kalvolit

The drug Calvolit is intended to replenish fluid in the body of calves after dyspepsia. The product restores the acid balance, supplying the body of young animals with water and electrolytes.

Diarrhea is an acute gastrointestinal disease. It can occur in different forms: from mild gastrointestinal upset to severe diarrhea with intoxication and dehydration.

Many calves that have suffered from a severe digestive disorder are developmentally delayed and take a long time to gain muscle mass. In addition, children have low energy for a long time. From 30 to 50% of young animals do not survive severe gastrointestinal disorders. This often happens due to the fault of owners trying to cure calves with folk remedies. It was revealed that in cows that suffered from diarrhea at an early age, milk productivity was reduced by more than 10%.

Attention! Calvolit allows you to save livestock and significantly reduce the cost of raising it.

There are several causes of eating disorders in calves:

  • a number of infectious diseases;
  • improperly carried out change of milk substitute;
  • transition from substandard milk to milk substitute;
  • stress after transportation;
  • vaccination.

Dyspepsia after stress is temporary and not as dangerous as digestive tract disorders caused by infectious diseases. However, it causes the same loss of fluid in the young calf. Calvolit helps the animal owner solve the problem of dehydration and prevents the calf from losing energy due to this pathology.

Composition of Kalvolit

Calvolit contains the following components:

  • glucose;
  • sodium chloride;
  • sodium bicarbonate;
  • potassium chloride

Each of these substances is necessary to treat diarrhea.

Glucose is the main source of lost energy after diarrhea. It helps maintain vital processes in cells. This is a kind of fuel for any organism. Glucose is necessary for cellular metabolism, maintaining water balance and eliminating toxins. It is indispensable for exhaustion of the body, infectious diseases of the digestive tract, and dehydration.

Sodium chloride is used for electrolyte imbalance caused by vomiting or diarrhea. Thus, it has a detoxifying effect and helps restore water balance.

Sodium bicarbonate is alkaline in nature. It is used for intoxication, as it neutralizes acidity, which increases under the influence of toxins. When alkali enters the body, a chemical reaction occurs: water and harmless chemical compounds are formed, which are eliminated from the body naturally.

Potassium chloride also helps restore water and electrolyte balance. It is often used for vomiting and diarrhea.

Calvolit also contains a number of vitamins: A, D, E, C and B vitamins.Among the microelements, the composition contains iron, copper, iodine, manganese, zinc, selenium, and folic acid.

Biological properties

The biological properties of the Kalvolit mineral feed mixture are due to the presence in its composition of components that make it possible to replenish the loss of fluid, electrolytes and energy after a disorder of the digestive tract in calves.

Instructions for use of Calvolit in calves

The drug is a ready-made mixture. It is given to calves on a starvation diet, 2 liters each, after diluting 30 g of Calvolit in 1 liter of warm water. Give the mixture to calves 2-3 times a day warm.

There are different ways to use Calvolit for calves with diarrhea.

  • First way: Give the calf only Calvolit solution when completely abstaining from milk or whole milk replacer (WMS).
  • Second way: Apply Calvolit solution for two days, then feed the calf 0.5 liters of milk or milk replacer, and 0.5 liters of solution, and then switch to milk.
  • Third way: It is permissible to use Calvolit solution to replenish lost fluid and milk, but at different times of the day.
Advice! Many experts are of the opinion that from the first days of a calf’s life it is necessary to provide it with free access to drinking water. This greatly facilitates the treatment of diarrhea in newborn calves.

Best before date

The manufacturer of the drug Calvolit has established the following shelf life: 12 months from the date of production. MKS Calvolit is packaged in 1.5 liter polyethylene buckets.

Conclusion

Calvolit for calves is a high-quality product that allows you to quickly restore the animal’s health, replenish lost fluid and energy as a result of illness, and save owners from further problems.
