Virusan is used as feed for insects. To do this, it is mixed with a warm solvent (sugar syrup). The temperature of the syrup should be approximately 40°C. For 50 g of powder take 10 liters of solvent. The prepared mixture is poured into the upper feeders.
Dosage, rules of use
The medicine is used at a time when families are actively reproducing and gaining strength, before the main honey harvest. Virusan is most effective in April-May and August-September. The procedure is repeated 2-3 times. The interval between treatments is 3 days.
The dose is calculated according to the number of families. For 1 family of bees, 1 liter of syrup is enough. After feeding, the resulting honey is used on a general basis.
Side effects, contraindications, restrictions on use
It is prohibited to use the medicine less than 30 days before the start of the main honey collection. It is also not recommended to use Virusan for bees in the fall, before pumping out honey for sale. By adhering to these rules, you can be sure that the drug will not get into the product.
If the instructions were followed, no side effects were observed in bees. When preparing the solution, beekeepers should wear gloves and completely cover their body so that Virusan does not get on the skin. Otherwise, an allergic reaction may occur.
Shelf life and storage conditions
