Description of the variety

Bucharest pepper is suitable for growing on the windowsill or on the balcony of a city apartment. As a potted plant it will grow up to 50 cm. Quite compact, semi-spreading, with medium foliage. To form a bush, you just need to remove the side leaves and shoots before the first branching. In an apartment, choose windows where the plant will receive the maximum amount of light. Otherwise, you will have to use special lamps for additional illumination to avoid the buds and ovaries falling off. The Bucharest variety can be grown in greenhouses and open ground. When free it grows up to 110 cm.

Seeds for seedlings for greenhouses and soil are planted in February. If you plan to grow the Bucharest variety on a windowsill, then any time frame is suitable. You can extend the life of the plant by transplanting it from the garden to a pot. Seeds can be planted in peat tablets, in prepared soil for seedlings, or you can make a soil mixture yourself. To do this, mix peat, humus, soil, and sand in approximately equal parts. Place in containers, water well, make small depressions 0.5 - 1 cm, place seeds there, lightly sprinkle with soil.

Important! In order for the seedlings to appear smoothly, and most importantly, quickly, provide the required temperature of +25+28 degrees.

Then the shoots will appear in 7 - 8 days. Otherwise, the process may take 2–3 weeks.

In 40 - 50 days the plant becomes quite large. It is ready for transplanting into open ground or a greenhouse in early May. To grow on the balcony you will need 5 liter pots.

Bucharest pepper is an early ripening variety. From the emergence of seedlings to the receipt of fruits, 110–115 days pass. You can please yourself and your loved ones with Bucharest peppers of an unusual purple color, but you can wait until the fruits are biologically ripe, then their color will become bright red. The fruits have a cone-shaped shape, weight up to 150 g, 2–3 chambers, smooth, glossy surface. The thickness of the fruit walls is about 6 mm. They tolerate transportation well.

I don’t have a dacha, but I want to dig in the ground. I decided to grow sweet peppers in the window. The choice fell on the Bucharest variety. It is small in size and just right for balconies. How he made me happy! The fruits have an uncharacteristic color for peppers – purple. Of course, it has grown a little, but it has grown.

I bought seeds of the Bucharest variety for the first time. The seedlings turned out good and strong. Planted it in a greenhouse.Of course, peppers look unusual because of the purple color of the fruits while they are unripe. But my family prefers ripe fruits. That's why we didn't pick the purple ones, we waited until they turned red. The variety is early ripening. Overall not bad. I think I will plant more.
