Cucumber Paratunka f1

Cucumbers began to be grown in ancient times. Today it is the main vegetable on the tables of the inhabitants of the globe. In Russia, this crop is grown everywhere. The Paratunka f1 cucumber is a hybrid and ripens early. The variety is suitable for cultivation in private plots and for industrial production.

The Paratunka hybrid variety was developed in 2006 and today has found its consumer. Seeds for Russians are supplied by the domestic agricultural company Semko-Junior. Intended for growing indoors, but also performs well in open ground. It stands out for its rich fruiting, which is why it is loved by gardeners.

Biological features

This cucumber variety, like its other relatives, has a weak root system. Basically, the roots are located shallow from the soil surface, the rest go 20 centimeters deep. The upper roots constantly lack water, especially when fruiting begins.

Advice! Plantings with cucumbers of the Paratunka variety need to be watered frequently and abundantly.

The stem of the cucumber is quite long and branched. If it is formed correctly and the greenhouse height is sufficient, it can grow up to 2 m and higher. At points at the base of the leaf, first-order branches are formed in the internodes. They, in turn, give life to the following branches. The plant develops well on a trellis.

If a Paratunka cucumber branch ends up on the ground, it takes root. Gardeners noticed this feature and specially dig in the shoots to create a powerful root system. Productivity depends on its development. One square meter, with proper care, can give the “owners” 17 kilograms of delicious cucumbers.

There are one or several flowers in the axils, therefore there are the same number of ovaries. Most often there are 2-4 of them. The flowers are predominantly female. This is clearly visible in the photo.

Characteristic features of the hybrid

Judging by the descriptions, the leaves of the Paratunka cucumber variety are dense green and small in size.

When planting, you need to adhere to the following scheme: per 1 sq. m no more than 4 bushes. The parthenocarpic cucumber of this variety does not require additional pollination. The absence of bees does not reduce the formation of ovaries. It takes about a month and a half from germination to the first greenery. Fresh cucumbers can be picked before the first frost.

The video will tell you how to achieve this:

Cucumbers of the Paratunka variety are cylindrical in shape, there are few tubercles, and the ribs are almost invisible. White stripes are visible on the dark green skin, occupying a third of the fruit. The cucumbers are crispy, aromatic, and never bitter. With medium pubescence they have sharp spines.

From one square you can harvest up to 14 kg of cucumbers. They weigh up to 100 g and are up to 10 cm long. Such fruits just beg to be put in a jar of marinade. This is not surprising, because the variety is universal. The Paratunka cucumber f1, judging by the reviews, is irresistible not only in canned, but also fresh form.

Attention! Brown spot, powdery mildew, and bacteriosis do not form on cucumbers of the Paratunka variety.

The cucumber can withstand slight temperature fluctuations without much damage - these are important characteristics of the variety.

Features of agricultural technology

Sowing

The Paratunka f1 variety can be grown with dry seeds directly into the ground or by seedlings.

  1. To obtain full-fledged seedlings, sowing begins in the last ten days of April or early May. The plant experiences stress during transplantation, so it is best to use peat cups or special detachable containers. In this case, the root system will not be damaged. When real leaves (3-4) appear on the plant, you can plant it in a permanent place.
  2. When sowing seeds directly into the ground, special attention should be paid to the depth: no more than 2 cm. Before planting, the seeds are soaked to ensure germination. Sowing is done in a checkerboard pattern, with 3 to 4 seeds per square meter.

Rules of care

Attention! Paratunka cucumbers should be watered in the evening using warm water.

After watering, the soil under the cucumbers should be loosened to a shallow depth. The plant requires fertilizing. You can use special compounds or slurry.

Don't lose your harvest

Since Paratunka f1 varietal cucumbers are early ripening, it is necessary to pinch the crown. New ovaries will begin to form in the sinuses. Small greens should be collected every other day early in the morning.

Important! The harvesting of cucumbers of this variety must be active, this significantly increases the yield.

One day, a colleague brought canned homemade cucumbers. They turned out to be surprisingly tasty: crispy, aromatic. I asked what variety it was. It turned out to be Paratunka. I'll try to plant it in the country this summer.

Everyone likes the Paratunka cucumber, but the sharp thorns are not pleasing. You have to assemble with gloves.

I'm an old garden lover. Over the years I have tried many different varieties of cucumbers. I liked the Paratunka variety because it begins to bear fruit early.

If cucumbers of the Paratunka variety are planted as seedlings, then at the end of May you can treat your grandchildren to the first cucumbers. In order for cucumbers to produce a rich harvest, they need to be looked after like little children.
